Road gullies not coping in rain leading to house flooding

Reported via desktop in the Gully and Catchpits category anonymously at 16:53, Thursday 8 September 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The gullies outside No. 7 and No.5 High Street are choked and need jetting/clearing, including the slot drains either side of the drain grates. The water flows from Church Green and ponds in front of my house causing it to overtop the step and flow through the front door. The main powers supply to my house is in a cabinet just inside the front door which causes significant concern.

  • Please note that No7 High Street is Grade II* listed. It really is imperative that this 400yr old house does not flood every time there is a heavy rain. Please advise these these drains are going to be cleared.
