Road sinking and subsiding

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 15:13, Thursday 8 September 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

An area of the road roughly 1m x 2m is sinking and subsiding. The road surface is starting to break up. Quite deep and affecting handling of vehicles, and getting dangerous now. Has been getting progressively worse for weeks. There are two other areas of subsidence further up the hill but not as bad.

Not helped by the current high number of HGVs, lorries and coaches using the road as a shortcut while the new roundabout is put on on the A420. The underlying construction of the road is clearly not suitable for use by heavy vehicles.
