No road markings/white lines approaching corner
Reported via desktop in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 11:07, Fri 2 September 2022
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
There are no white lines or road markings left on the road coming down from Keats road to Masefield Road. People come down Keats Road at high speeds and cut the corner, they have no road markings to keep to their own lane on approach. Due to this I have witnessed several accidents and more near misses. I think it needs for the whites lines to be replaced before there a fatality occurs. Or even some vehicle being shunted into a dwelling.

Can you please advise if this is being looked into? There is going to be even more near misses and more actual accidents and I stated before, a possible fatality! The speed that most of the drivers go down this road is way over 30 mph, therefore they have to cut the corner or go straight into a home or mount the kerb to right their mistake. This is a really dire and worrying situation!

This situation is still as bad as before if not worse, there have been so many near misses of late and a few wing mirrors being hit between cars that are racing down from Keats Road through into Masefield Road just cutting the corner. This is entirely due to no road markings showing the division of the road and the part of the road they should not cut across. When will something be done about this before a serious accident occurs?

This has been five months since I posted my concerns with regards to this situation, when is something going to be done about this - after someone has to lose their limbs or a life? The whole area of Keats and Masefield is talking about this problem and are so concerned, that this does not seem to be urgent to the powers that be!

After 6 fruitless months of posting about this dangerous situation, unfortunately, I guess the powers that be do not feel it is important enough to paint some white lines down a stretch of road to keep drivers and pedestrians safe!!!!!! Oh well! I tried as best I could, I shall let the neighbours know our council or whomever, just doesn't care enough.
