Congratulations on a totally unnecessary traffic jam

Reported via desktop in the Current Roadworks category by Dan Gee at 21:26, Thursday 1 September 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Congratulations to whoever ordered the massive cone party at Green Road Roundabout and Cowley Bypass. You managed to 'invite', not to say trap thousands of drivers and caused a 3-mile tailback on the Cowley Bypass. Excessive preparatory coning is unintelligent. Other countries carry out road repairs during hours of low traffic and repair stretches of road individually, without coning off huge sections in a display of excessive H&S. The issue is current as of 1930-2100+ on 1 September 2022. Causing massive tailbacks due to excessive preparatory coning seems moronic (sorry for not being polite). There is also an increased risk of accidents for the many frustrated drivers.
