Overgrown grass and brambles

Reported via mobile in the Grass and Hedges category anonymously at 20:20, Tuesday 30 August 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

I know it's not your policy to cut grass because of re-wilding and wild flowers!! There are no or have not been any flowers on this mess all over the years and now brambles are growing through. It still is obscuring the vision of the road coming from Wadards. I did ask Duncan Enright if he could help but only a bit was cut . The whole place looks an eyesore as does all the weeds coming through the curbs. Eventually the curb stones will fall apart. Could you explain what we are paying for?.

  • We are paying (or rather our transferred-away money ... ) instead for LTZs, Witney being converted to 20mph, cycle ways, Active Travel schemes, the pedestrianisation of the High Street ... and much more besides ... by the councillors who were voted in by certain voters ... Perhaps that's why last week's Town Council election "swung" the way it did ?

  • Still nothing done about this unsightly mess. The whole part of this side of the road needs tidying. When driving into Wadards Meadow it just looks so run down with all the long grass growing through the curb. I can't see the point anymore of reporting the majority of issues on fix my street as it doesn't get fixed.
