New style shining directly into my front room.

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

I am very pleased To see the new style lighting in my street which makes it safer in the street. However the one attached to the pole outside my house seems to be directed towards my house/ front window and is very distracting when sitting on my sofa watching tv or reading the paper as it is constantly shining onto me. Please could you arrange for the light to be positioned to shine downwards and not into my house or possibly instal a shield on the house side of the light. I should not have to close my curtains early to stop the light shining so brightly into my front room. The old neon light did not cause a problem and so it was only when the new light was installed did the problem arise. I hope you can solve this issue.
