Bright street light shining into my house

Recently the lamp in the street light outside my house has been changed from an orange one to a white light. The angle of the light and the brightness now cause an issue as it shines directly into my living room. Please can it be angled back up the street so it does not affect anyone else. It is also on all night which appears to be an expense that the council could save.
