Edge of road rutted (again)
Reported via mobile in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 07:47, Thu 25 August 2022
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
The edge of the road on Hagbourne Hill has once again fallen away leaving ruts in which wheels can become trapped. We have already seen a fatality on this road in recent years and the number of heavy vehicles is making the issue worse daily. The edge if the road needs urgently fixing in a much more permanent way than previously to avoid further accidents.

Are there no Health and Safety checks made on unsuitable backfill materials? Were codes of practice, and safety risk assessments not followed? If they were carried out at all! Filling in cavities with loose dry materials is ridiculously dangerous. The carriageway is now littered with loose finings and stone, from the use of type one stone from the filled in cavities.
