The trees are at the back of 59 Bowmont water

Reported via mobile in the Trees category anonymously at 17:14, Thursday 18 August 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

I have noticed cracks are appearing in the lawn and that the soil has moved away from the garage since the trees have been growing larger than ever just concerned that the trees root’s have come into the rear garden and could be starting to cause subsidence. It’s been more notable in the last month

  • Thank you for your enquiry. I have visited the location and assessed the trees. The trees are on land not deemed to be part of the highway maintainable at public expense and therefore, Oxfordshire County Council do not have responsibility for the trees as local highway authority. I believe the tree may be the responsibility of the South Oxfordshire District Council and therefore you should contact them directly to pursue this enquiry further.
