Poor road surface causing vibrations, damage to house

Reported via mobile anonymously at 13:22, Tue 16 August 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and Vale of White Horse District Council less than a minute later

The road surface by the pedestrian crossing on Abingdon road is poor and broken up, this causes vibrations in my house whenever a large vehicle heads towards Abingdon- I live several doors down from the lights and we feel the vibrations well before the vehicle gets to the house. As well as vibrations, there have been cracks forming around the house, inside and out, for months now- I have reported this before. The cracks in the front bedroom have got significantly worse. If this road surface isn’t fixed I’ll have to investigate how liable the council is for damage to the house. I noticed a sign a while back saying overnight road surface work would take place on 1st August but this never happened- I can’t find anything online explaining the next steps so more information would be helpful here. This needs addressing urgently before the damage to the house gets worse, please.
