Faded road markings, West Avenue, Abingdon

Reported via desktop in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category by Martin Buckland at 17:10, Sun 14 August 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The road markings at the junction of West Avenue and North Avenue, Abingdon, are very faded. The turn from North Avenue into West Avenue is very sharp and the centre white line encourages vehicles coming from West Avenue into North Avenue to take a wide berth to avoid vehicles coming the other way. There have been a few near misses lately because the road markings do not show up.

The junction markings of North Avenue with Oxford Road (A4183) are also very faded and it encourages traffic turning right into North Avenue to cut the corner.
