Soil dumped by swish fibre/giga clear after ground works contains invasive weed

When the grass adjacent to our house was dug up at the end of May, the contractor dumped bad soil containing an unsightly invasive weed (pictured) which is difficult to eliminate ! I have asked them to return the area to the grass verge that it was before they all destroyed it but they say it is not their responsibility - please help !
