Road marking needs re painting

Reported via desktop in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 09:47, Wednesday 10 August 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The road markings at the junction of Dale Close and Trinity Street could be re-done /strengthened - over recent times I've had several experiences where, if I hadn't been driving very slowly up Dale Close, to turn left into Trinity Street, cars/vans coming up Trinity Street and turning right into Dale Close, would have smashed straight into me with people cutting that corner as they turn into Dale Close. It really is quite frightening and I just want to prevent an accident happening.

  • Good morning. Thank you for your enquiry. Give way lines at junctions in a 20mph speed road are not generally re-painted, as it is no longer standard practice to install these lines on low speed residential roads. However, I will pass on the reports to the traffic team at Oxfordshire County Council for their consideration.

    State changed to: Investigation complete
