Protruding inspection covers

Reported via desktop in the Potholes and maintenance category anonymously at 15:04, Tue 9 August 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The new inspection covers to the broadband cabling on the cycleway/footpath do not sit within the metal housing correctly. they rock and the corners of the cover stick up sufficiently to pose a triping hazard for pedestrians or possibly a tyre pucturing hazard for cyclists singe the frame of the cover appears to be cast metal. It is possible that small stones were in the base framework before the inspection covers were placed and are the cause of the covers rocking. It is obvious that insuficient checks were made when the work was comleted and no subsequent inspection has taken place. Liftingthe covers and brushing out the housing might well be all that is needed.
