Traffic bollard removed from Broome Way: cars driving down footpath

Reported via desktop anonymously at 18:29, Sun 7 August 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and West Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later

At the intersection of Broome Way and Woodlands (not named on your map; it's at the eastern end of Lilac Way -- see arrow), a cast iron traffic bollard was in place at the end of the road, to block vehicle access to the footpath that leads from Broome Way to Monahan Way.

Someone has removed the bollard and dumped it on the grass verge. I've seen at least one car driving down the footpath. This is a dangerous situation because the footpath is used as a play area by children; it's bordered by hedges that could make it very difficult for a driver to see a child until the last moment. The bollard needs to be put back in place as soon as possible,
