Incorrect position and insufficient No Through Road signage

Reported via mobile in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category by Andrew Walker at 15:29, Thursday 4 August 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

There is only 1 No Through Road sign at the beginning of the lane in Emmington and this has been hit by a vehicle and moved position so most vehicles don't see it and drive up the lane think they can drive through to Henton. They then get to the end of the lane and turn around in residents driveways causing damage to lawns, gates etc. Vehicles travelling from Thame towards Chinnor cannot see any No Through Road sign. Ideally it requires 2 x No Through Road signs placed on either side of the lane in Emmington to finally solve the problem

    State changed to: Investigating

  • We have investigated your report and found that the existing Cul-de-Sac sign, along with the 'Give Way plate had been knocked out of alignment and so the Cul-de-Sac sign was not very visible to oncoming traffic. Both sign plates have now been realigned so that they are clear to oncoming traffic.
