Footpath narrowed by overgrown vegetation

Reported via mobile in the Pavements category anonymously at 12:41, Thu 4 August 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Grass and weeds have spread onto this footpath to the point where it's almost too narrow for a single person to walk along. Never mind getting a buggy or wheelchair along there. Really dangerous as you have to walk so close to a very busy road and potentially step into the road

  • Hi, thanks for your report. Can you please confirm the exact location as you have put the map marker on the Oxford Road south of the town centre. Can we check if you mean the footway north of Woodstock coming in to the town? We know this is badly overgrown and our Highway Officer has programmed in to our work schedule for a cut back. Your description sounds like this footpath so we just wanted to check. Thank you.

  • I mean the footpath exactly where I have put the marker on the map. Footpath next to Oxford Road leading up to the Churchill Gate turning.

  • Thank you for your report. Our Highway Officer has programmed in a work gang to attend and side out the footway to restore it to its original width. Thank you.
