Loose gravel and raised ironworks

Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category by Ian Harris at 11:19, Thursday 4 August 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

There has been a long standing problem with loose gravel on the bend along Day's Lane just by the entry sign to Ewelme that is partly covering a manhole with broken up edging. This was a particular problem recently when a cyclist slid on the gravel and caught the edge of the manhole causing him to crash and left him lying in the road for several hours with broken ribs and unable to move until the ambulance I called for eventually arrived. Thankfully with the help of a passing Royal Mail guy we were able to position our cars to protect him from other vehicles coming along the road but it would be great if this hazard could be rectified.
