Dangerous entry and exit to roundabout

The cycle path alongside the field ends set back from the roundabout. To exit you have a v poor view of cars coming from the right, and they are not expecting anticlockwise travel if you yet and get to the pavement opposite. To enter the cycle path from the roundabout you need to cut across traffic waiting at 12acre rd. Could the curb be dropped at the corner of the pavement to allow safer entry when following the roundabout? Roundabout in general not well laid out to allow access to good cycling paths on the joining roads, but this is the most dangerous point

Could the exit from the footpath/cycle path onto the roundabout be looked? Pedestrians emerging from the footpath don't have a clear view back along 12 Acre Drive and particularly lorries who may cut off the corner won't see people on foot before they're upon them, or cyclists who may emerge at speed. A barrier to prevent pedestrians stepping straight out into the road has been suggested.
