Public footpath behind Green Road, Kidlington, not being maintained

Reported via desktop in the Grass and Hedges category anonymously at 11:37, Wednesday 20 July 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

1) Footpath hedging needs to be cut back (including canopy) as it is growing into neighbouring properties and is reducing the amount of light. A member or members of the public have taken some of the hedge maintenance into their own hands and have cut 2x 15ft pieces of hedge (still attached to the canopy) and have dumped them over a garden keep the public footpath clear. These branches need to be removed along with the canopy to which they are still attached. 2) Rubbish and fallen leaves need to be swept up and taken away. In wet weather the footpath turns into a quagmire.

  • There is also some dumped concrete and rubbish along the path which is too heavy for residents to remove. This is attracting others to dump rubbish nearby.
