Cars using the road as a race track and driving at high speeds

Not sure who will listen. Council and police will not address the issue. Due to the nature of the road being wide and open with banks of traffic lights it is used by cars to race and drive at excessive speeds. Noise through the late evening abs night can be significant. But speeding occurs throughout the day. Cars overtake. Not ideal as a residential road with residents turning in and out of driveways. Not to mention it’s a bus route with bus stops, by the hospital and during the day crossed by children attending the many schools nearby. Be grateful if it could be addressed before there is a serious accident or fatality. Speed limit is 30mph not speeds in excess of 60mph. Issue stretches from upper Windsor street and round the bend to the stretch by St Anne’s Road. Many thanks

Thank you for your report. There is currently finding available to parishes and town councils that will support them to drop the speed limit to 20mph. Please contact the town council to raise your concerns as they will be able to consider this.
