Injury by pothole

This pothole has been here for some time and until this morning I have managed to avoid it. However, due to the traffic being heavier, I hit it causing me to fall off my bike and hitting my head. Luckily I only got a few bruises and minor marks. But, had to sit on side as felt dizzy. I am going to have to replace my helmet and repair my wheels as it caused me to get a puncture. I expect to be reimburse for my losses as going to have to purchase a new helmet, tyre and inner tube. I'm not sure if I have a claim for injury as not serious apart mild concussion.

  • This pothole is so incredibly dangerous, and getting more so by the day. It is located on a bend, so cars that have to pull out to drive around it (and there is absolutely no option of driving over it!) are in serious danger of collision with the vehicles coming the other way, which on this road includes farm vehicles and an increasing number of lorries. This pothole will kill a cyclist or biker if it isn't fixed very soon. It is right next to a tree, so if a cyclist wishes to avoid it, their only options are to swerve into the tree, or into oncoming traffic.
