Obstructed verge on approach to blind bend on South Stoke Road

Reported via desktop anonymously at 18:48, Sunday 17 July 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and South Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later

South Stoke Road is a narrow, edge of village lane, which has several blind bends. There was a fatality here on 24th June 2022 and I am concerned that the placing of large boulders at the edge of the carriageway are a dangerous deterrent that compromises the safety of vehicles and pedestrians. The lighting is poor and pedestrians are at serious risk of tripping, particularly at night when vehicles approach, as visibility is compromised by the bends. The obstruction on verges is an issue at several locations on this lane where speed limits are not adhered to and there are no pavements.
