Dangerous bridge for cyclists

Since this bridge was restricted to one lane only, this bridge is a nightmare for cyclists going into Steventon. Currently, the only way to go over the bridge is to drive over the one-lane road. Drivers cannot see well what traffic is coming down the hill (and has priority as per signage), especially when they dive very closely to eachother. Almost every day, 3-5 cars fail to give me priority when I want to cycle into Steventon, which is a dangerous situation. My suggestion is to slightly move the barrier on the west side of the bridge, creating a narrow bike path (as is present on the east side of the bridge, for cyclists leaving Steventon). That way, cyclists have their own designated path and are no longer pushed off the road by drivers not looking for oncoming traffic with priority. Thanks!

The roadworks have one big flaw! The give way should be for the traffic coming down the hill as always instructed, you should give way to traffic coming up the hill! This would improve safety for all road users and slow the traffic coming into the village not causing a jam for traffic that can not see up the hill over the brow and on the corner. Whoever planned this is in my opinion an idiot.
