Tree urgently needs tree surgeon! Over 2 years this tree (maintained for 50 years by Oxfordshire council) has been dropping increasingly larger branches over a pedestrian pathway & road.

  • Thank you for your enquiry, I have visited site and inspected the trees & vegetation as described in the enquiry. The vegetation present appears growing beyond the area that OCC maintains and is therefore deemed to be an adjacent boundary feature. OCC, as the local highway authority, maintain the HMPE (highway maintainable at public expense) from boundary feature to boundary feature. As such the vegetation present is maintainable by the adjacent property/land owner, and not the county council, to maintain as they wish.
