Loss of road crossing

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Hi there,
The road crossing outside my home is being removed at the moment by your team. I’m very concerned about this, as I have mobility issues (permanent disability, cerebral palsy), and that crossing is my only access to the shop. I cannot walk to the next available crossing. Please reassure me that the crossing will still be there?
Many thanks, Jack

The new road crossing islands, in the middle of Marston Road, opposite Old Marston Road, are considerably misaligned. Vehicles heading toward New Marston (i.e. away from Headley Way) along Marston Road are having to swerve to avoid the portion of the concrete island which is jutting out into the road. The new island doesn't even align with the white road markings that are currently there. For anyone on a motorbike, or indeed a cyclist, who doesn't see this protrusion, this is very dangerous. I realise the workmen have only just finished this new construction; as such, is this supposed to be the final iteration, or are further adjustments to the alignment of the two islands on this crossing going to be made?

Here are some images of the bizarrely misaligned concrete islands on Marston Rd, opposite Old Marston Rd. A you can see, they jut out into the path of traffic. They also do not line up with the existing white road markings, which seems absurd. Surely, these islands need repositioning as the construction clearly isn't correct and continues to be an obstacle to motorists and cyclists alike.
