So: Option 1: grub around and re-lay tarmac. Repeat next year when the pruned & re-stimulated roots grow ... swell .... and push out the tarmac. Re-do and repeat annually at a cost from limited budget of £ ... ? OR Option 2: fell tree, poison stump and roots (accepting leachate risks ...), dig out and relay tarmac ... ? OR Option 3: accept that in order to balance priorities (sic), people will have to exercise reasonable self-care here ÀND in countless other parts of the town (whilst money IS being found and spent on under-used "Active Travel" , pedestrianisation, etc schemes ... ) ? OR what other PRACTICAL solution .... ?
