Roundabout being blocked at rush hours

Reported via desktop in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 09:30, Tuesday 28 June 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

This roundabout is continually being blocked by traffic during morning and evening rush hours and is causing long tailbacks along Nuffield Way, whcih can often take around 30 minutes to get through! Drivers are ignoring the keep clear on the road and the cross hatching. The road markings are fading and need repainted to make them more obvious, especially the yellow cross hatching as this is very faded. Also signage on the lamposts saying keep clear, do not block etc, would be helpful. This issue is causing problems for people working in the businesses down there, so needs to be solved.

Updates

  • Thank you for your enquiry. This issue has been passed onto the relevant team for investigation.

    State changed to: Investigating

  • The OCC transport planners have been made aware of the congestions issues. With regard to the road markings, the yellow box markings are not correct for the location which is why they have not been refurbished and 'keep clear' markings installed.
