Concealed entrance sign

Reported via desktop in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 17:43, Friday 24 June 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Given that people to not always slow down to 30mph when they enter Woodcote and there are accesses to residential properties that are not immediately seen, would a concealed entrance sign not be sensible to place here to warn drivers and encourage them to slow down further?

  • Thank you for your report. Whilst there are some remnants of such signs, emphasis has changed and the sign is in fact not now current. Woodcote is however, like many other towns and villages in the County, due to be considered for becoming 20mph through the County Council's initiative. This should help encourage vehicles to travel slower within the village.
