Reported via desktop in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 18:38, Wed 8 June 2022
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
At all roads in to/out of the town centre Including Vineyard, bridge street, East St Helens, Ock Street; there are traffic monitoring points across the carriageways.
Who has put these there? What are they measuring? For how long? And to what end?

I too would like to know. My councillor never replies to my letters so if you could enlighten us that would be great.

This report is not the responsibility of Oxfordshire County Council. By law anyone can request traffic monitoring to be carried out on the public highway and the companies are not required to notify Occ of this or why they want the information. I checked to see if they had stickers on the equipment like they should do but there was none, I do not know who requested this or why or what company installed the equipment. This equipment has no been removed.
