This 30mph sign is STILL up outside of City Arms Pub. The speed limit for about 300m is 30mph travelling east and 20mph travelling west on the same stretch of road. This was reported 5 days ago. It is very dangerous. How hard is it to remove a sign?

Not very dangerous. It was a 30mph here for decades. Still confusing though.

Not very dangerous? It's two different speed limits on the same road depending on the direction of travel. Eastbound is 30, westbound is 20. That's not dangerous? Seriously? How hard can it be to simply remove one sign???

30mph isn't a dangerous speed. It was 30mph for decades and was always fine. Just the council want to find things to keep themselves busy.

The dangerous part isn't the actual speed, it's that it's one speed in one direction and another speed in the other direction. Do you not understand that?

I understand but that's still fine. As long as all cars going the same direction are going the same speed. It's more of a problem when cars are not going the same speed on the same stretch of road - which is exactly what happens once the 20mph speed limits come it. Gets more dangerous.

The 30mph sign is still there. Please remove it!

How hard is it to remove one sign that you forgot to remove??? Many of the intersecting roads still have their 20mph signs, too. That's not dangerous like the 30mph sign, just a waste. If anyone has an accident in front of City Arms - the council is going to get sued and rightly so!
