Damaged solar powered flexible traffic bollard

Reported via mobile in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category by Cllr Steve Akers at 17:28, Fri 27 May 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

This bollard - code id number B1 - is severly damaged. The reflective panel is completely missing. This is at the very top of New Street where the A44 sharply turns down into New St. The bollard is at a point where pedestrians cross New Street. It is a very dangerous location. There was recently a fatality here. Both bollards here need replacing.

  • I have cleaned these signs (at a safe time low traffic wearing full PPE) to make them clearer and for the reflective surfaces to be effective. However, they remain badly damaged and need urgent replacement. This is the most dangerous crossing point in Chipping Norton with traffic approaching from three directions. Thanks. Cllr Steve Akers
