Road island road signs still not repaired/upgraded

Reported via desktop in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 13:13, Thu 26 May 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Some time ago the road signs on these island were struck and destroyed - probably at night. After a considerable time they have not been fully repaired. Much of the debris still remains too. The road signs used are also not the best ones to use. They are blue with white markings, they are not illuminated and are not covered adequately by street lights. At night they are almost invisible. The best type to use would be the older bollard type which are lit internally and clear to see even on the darkest nights - these are significantly better than the yellow reflective-only ones now seen in other nearby places which rely on good quality headlights from the traffic to be seen - many vehicles still have poor headlights (especially heavy lorries which are also the most likely vehicles to strike the road signs.)
