Large double manhole in road adjacent to numbers 45 and 47 Abingdon road

Road surface being broken up around edges of manhole and the covers are loose resulting in a bang- bang noise each time a vehicle passes over it , cars to lorries the bigger the vehicle the louder it is. This causes nuisance in the daytime but can cause you to be woken in the night especially when lorries pass over them. On going for sometime now but getting progressively worse

  • Question. Reported problem on 23May 2022. Council reference ENQ22925369. No updates on this reported problem and it would appear no investigation of it as there are no obvious signs this has been done . i.e. road paint marking. As this was reported approx 50 days ago are there any updates given the continued annoyance and disturbance it gives.
