There aren't any street signs saying 'Road Closed ahead' since the East Oxford side roads were suddenly closed yesterday. Drivers are getting stuck. Please put signs up before they turn in to Howard Street, Percy St, James St, Stockmore, etc etc. Also give residents a map to show them how to get out.

See above. Sudden road closures give no warning. Turning off main roads as per usual, drivers are now faced with closed roads. Why not put signs up before they turn in to these roads? I live here but I have no idea which road will be closed. Can't get home from Cowley Road any more at all. How do I get from Percy Street to Headington now? Do I have to go into town to go round the Plain roundabout? There is a campaign to reduce traffic there since a recent fatality. I think my route straight up Divinity has been blocked and I can't even get out via Magdalen anyway. What do you suggest? Some people were sent a map, we weren't. Need paper map as computer not always on. Other drivers need road signs to warn them. Only signs currently say 'Plan Your Route' - how do you do this without any information about road blocks?
