MAJOR HAZARD AT JUNC - Sight lines obstructed by overgrown grass verges
Reported via desktop in the Grass category by Paul Smith at 05:01, Sat 21 May 2022
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
The problem at this junction has been extensively reported by many including a previous report from myself. The issue is getting worse. It is Totally Unacceptable that the overgrown verges have not been cut back. Yesterday evening, Fri 20th May 2022 at 17.48 Hrs whilst waiting to turn right onto the A424 towards Stow I took the attached photo's. To eventually obtain a completely unobstructed view towards Burford I had to edge forwards onto the main road. Only when the front of my vehicle was at the centre white lines could an unobstructed view be obtained. I am a Retired Police Officer having dealt with many Fatal Road Collisions, eventually presenting evidence at Magistrates Courts, Crown Courts & Coroners Inquests. The situation at this location presents a Major Hazard to Road Safety. It is only a matter of time before a Serious Incident Occurs. COME ON LOCAL COUNCIL GET AND DO SOMETHING TO NEGATE AN INCIDENT AND PREVENT HUMAN GRIEF.
