No cycle path to Oxford

Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 09:27, Thu 19 May 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

There does not seem to be any way to get from the Berinsfield Roundabout to Oxford by cycle. I have now tried all three ways I could think off (1. the A4074 = ridiculously hostile with heavy fast traffic and no protected space for cycling what so ever; 2. Abingdon Road via Abingdon = long detour, also pretty hostile; 3. The Old Roman road, non-paved and not sign-posted) and all of them are utterly awful. I cannot be, that you provide not at least provide some minimum provision to get from Berinsfield to Oxford by bicycle. I am a fairly experienced, confident, able-bodied cyclist and I am out of ideas how to get from there to Oxford.
