Large tree branches overhanging boundary.

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Trees on council owned land bordering Peppard Lane have grown substantially and are now overhanging our garden. Please could these be cut back and/or thinned out.

  • Thank you for your enquiry, I have visited site and inspected the trees &
    vegetation as described in the enquiry. The vegetation present appears growing
    beyond the area that OCC maintains and is therefore deemed to be an adjacent
    boundary feature. OCC, as the local highway authority, maintain the HMPE (highway
    maintainable at public expense) from boundary feature to boundary feature. As such
    the vegetation present is maintainable by the adjacent property/land owner, and not
    the county council, to maintain as they wish. Should you require a more detail on this
