Anti-cycling gate on cycle path

Coming from Wilsham Road the signage seem to suggest cyclists should go straigth to North Quay. However, on that path there is a anti-cycling gate that makes getting through by bicycle very difficult or impossible. To the left there is a footpath/cut-trough that only has bollards, which make passage much easier. This has the unfortunate consequence that its much easier on a bike to use the path intended for pedestrians than the path intended to use for cycles. I suggest to remove the anti-cycling gates from the cycle path (and maybe replace with a bollard if deemed necessary).

The discriminatory anti-cycling gate on this cycle path has still not been removed. Could you please outline when you plan to remove this illegal road block. If you are missing funding to put a bollard there instead of the discriminatory anti-disabled-people gate you could also just remove one half of the anti-people-with-children gate and that would already make the cycle path much more accessible for its intended users. I would appreciate if you could just remove that gate and don't require me to escalate this further.

It's not on my commuter path anymore, so I have not escalated further, but it is sad to see that after more than two years there has still nothing be done about this counterproductive and illegal blockage...
