Road resurfacing - massive amount of loose chippings

Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 11:31, Monday 16 May 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Travelled this road to work this morning and I've never seen so many loose chippings left following road resurfacing. It was ridiculous. Such a mess. None of it seems to have stuck to the road and cars were having to stick to tire tracks made already with mounds of chippings either side. A lorry coming the other way flicked up a stone which has made a big crack in my windscreen. Can I claim for my costs to repair it? Excess is £70.

  • I drove down this road on Sunday 15th after a rain shower and now my car is completely covered in orange tar, all over the paintwork and windows. How do I go about claiming the cost back of getting it cleaned/repaired?
