Unnecessary use of traffic lights

Reported via mobile in the Current Roadworks category anonymously at 18:13, Saturday 14 May 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

3 way lights put up controlling Glynswood and Oakley Road for no current purpose whatsoever. There's presently a small hole on grass verge beside pavement with ample room for pedestrians to pass. Causing needless pollution and waste of energy.

Council ref: ENQ22924608

Updates

  • State changed to: Investigating

Updated by Oxfordshire County Council at 18:13, Saturday 14 May 2022

  • Lights were eventually removed, but weren't companies fined for this kind of thing in the past? Totally unnecessary, unless it was supposed to disrupt the cycle race the following day, in which case it was obviously done for safety reasons

    State changed to: Fixed
