Roadworks starting one day after road has been resurfaced

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

London Lane was resurfaced on the morning of Sunday 8th May - which was a total surprise to many of the village residents. SSE are, apparently, about to put in an electricity supply which means having to dig up the road. Surely this cannot be so! We have received no notification of either works, especially the road closures. Can someone please explain what is going on?
