Kerbside bank erosion from traffic
Reported via mobile in the Roads/highways category by Terry Hill at 10:50, Monday 9 May 2022
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Good morning
Could you please point me in the right direction as who to contact regarding the kerbside bank in front of my property,
Ashtree corner Ox75rf . The bank is being constantly eroded by large vehicles mounting the bank to avoid each other, Tractors/Lorries and buses as also cars speeding. It has now reached the point where it has eroded to the foundations of my dry stone wall which at some point could cause it to collapse into the road. Some remedy is needed urgently ie wooden stakes like those near the village hall or something more substantial as to kerbstones. I do try to maintain my wall as much as possible due to the constant traffic, but this is now beyond my control and needs urgent attention so as to avoid further damage or worse still an accident.
Many thanks in advance,
Mr Terry Hill

You have plotted your location as opposite Rose Cottage however the property opposite was called Hunts Barn. I also couldn't see any property in this location in need of any posts.
Please would you plot your location exactly. If you want timber posts there is further information on how to apply for these on our website. They would be provided, if approved by your Parish Council, at your expense and OCC does not provide maintenance or replace them.
Many thanks and I look forward to another report where your property has been plotted correctly.
