Aggressive Rumble Strips

Reported via Android in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 18:47, Wednesday 27 April 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The rumble strips heading out of North Aston, down the hill are painted in something that seems to be harder than the road surface itself. This seems to have led to the road eroding around them leaving them less 'rumble' and more 'test the engineering integrity of every weight bearing component of your bicycle'. Now whilst I generally welcome a test of my workmanship, I'd rather it wasn't unannounced, at 50km/h, downhill, round a corner. If you could remove them that side, or smooth things out a bit, that would be very much appreciated. Why are there even rumble strips on the side of the road heading AWAY from the village anyway?
