BT failed to make good road
Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 12:49, Wed 27 April 2022
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
BT Open Reach dug up my part of Haywards Close 23rd April 2022 but have not completed the task near me. As you can see, the road outside the drive of No.16 (my house) has a trench only partially filled with tarmac, the surface is broken up and there is loads of the rubble they created. £1 coin used for scale.

The problem remains. Workmen and equipment (including a tarmac lorry) are still in our street but no attempt has been made to fix the issue. I am really concerned that a car or bike tyre could be punctured, and worse that someone will stumble on the loose surface on their way to my property. I have two replacement knees and I feel vulnerable in case I fall on the unrepaired road.

BT Openreach have been asked several times to repair the damage they did to our road (during a broadband upgrade) but the problem has not been fixed. The public highway that adjoins our drive remains rubble and is still a trip hazard. The photo includes a £1 coin for scale. I am pretty sure BT think they’ve got away with it.
