Totally Unacceptable & Dangerous Road Surface
Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category by Stephen Daniels at 17:06, Wednesday 13 April 2022
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
This 'report' relates to the totality of the road from the Mental Health Centre (OX4 4YN) through 4YP to Brick Kiln Lane and onwards to the junction with the A4074 city-bound. This problem has been increasing over 3-5 years. This report has been made a year before to which the response was 'scheduled', many weeks after which some random potholes were patched but not even then the biggest / worst and certainly not even the majority. This road surface is now completely potholed and broken up with all road markings nearly entirely illegible. It contrasts extremely poorly with that of Kennington that has even been remarked only a couple of years after being totally resurfaced end-2-end. This is inequitable treatment but also extremely dangerous and worsening. A proper fix is needed NOT random, small and incomplete patching.

Thank you for your enquiry. Henley Road currently sits within a program of works to treat failing areas via a Structural Patching method. I can confirm that works on Henley rd are currently planned to commence in September this year. Please be aware that County Council programs can sometimes change due to various unforeseen reasons. Thank you.
