Intrusive and unnecessary light disturbing houses on this side of the street

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

This light was unfortunately fixed recently after being broken for years. We were all just fine as it was. The bulb has been replaced with a brilliant white light, unlike the others in the street which are a gentle yellow. It's like having interrogation lights in all the rooms in the house which face the street and is very distressing. If we have to have a street light in this location PLEASE can we have a dimmer bulb?
