Overgrown verges on Cumnor Hill
Reported via desktop in the Grass and Hedges category by Oliver Wright at 11:33, Wednesday 30 March 2022
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 8 minutes later
The verges are overgrown on both sides of the road, not having been cut by the council since (at least) before the first lockdown. They also have large fallen branches lying on them. As Spring gets going, the verge on the Hids Copse Road side will block the view uphill as one comes out onto the main road, which is dangerous. I myself cut the verge back last year but shouldn't have to!

Thank you for your report. I have visited the site you pinpointed on the map, on Cumnor Hill, side of 1 Hids Copse Road, see photos, and assessed the issue that you have identified. This overgrown vegetation, unfortunately, doesn't meet our current, immediate, intervention criteria, so I cannot arrange a quick repair. I have requested it be placed/logged onto the list of HATER (vegetation) jobs that will be assessed for inclusion in future programmed works, subject to there being no conflicting works and sufficient funds. We will continue to monitor this site during our routine inspections. I am therefore closing this report.
