Why will works take so long?

Reported via Android in the Current Roadworks category anonymously at 20:53, Tuesday 29 March 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

A sign has gone up advising that this junction will be closed to traffic from Ambroseden from April 19th until the end of November. This seems a staggeringly long time to make (probably unecessary) changes to a very simple junction. Can the council provide an explanation as to why this will take so long? It's going to be quite inconvenient, particularly as it co-incides with the closure of the Launton rail bridge.

  • How long will work take? Today I passed and only could see one workman who was on a mobile phone. Plus traffic lights are not working properly.
