  • Thank you for your report. I have visited the site, you pinpointed on the map, in front of 32 Nobles Close, Botley, see photos, and assessed the issue you have identified. This missing small manhole cover issues has been reported to BT Openreach as urgent. I, however, couldn't ascertain, for sure, who the owner of this manhole is, as their was no manhole cover, so this report could be rejected. I have also made the site safe with a cone, see photos.

  • Here is an update to your report. BT Openreach have rejected this defect as theirs. It is also not a Thames Water asset, as I have checked our drainage maps, and they don't have an asset at this location. I have therefore re-assigned it to Virgin Media, to see if they own it.

  • Thank you for your report. Here is a further update: Virgin Media say it is not one of their boxes/manholes. After further investigation, by knocking on the door of 32 nobles Close and asking the resident, I was informed that this issue is most probably the responsibility of TalkTalk Communications Limited. I have re-assigned this report to them.
